In this digital age, we really need to be careful about who we choose to be social with online. Anyone can claim anything the want to be. It's a pretty scary thought that the person you just friended on a social platform, or joined as a member of their group turns out to be a predator.
I've come across many things in my life. I've met wonderful glowing people who bring joy to my days online. I've also ran into monsters who want to take advantage of your ignorance. I actually came across an individual who runs well over 70 Facebook Groups, has claimed to be everything from a NATO Diplomat, a Global Realestate Agent, an Intetnationsl Security Agent who writes briefings for the UN, runs a group of over 40 NGO's which he claims are registered with the United Nations ( They are not.), and several spurious sexual sites, and to top it off claims to be the heir to a historical Coven of witches!
( Surprise: He is not.)
When dealing with people on Social Platforms, don't allow yourself to become a victim. Engage in a little Google Stalking and learn who you are really communicating with. A person sharing too little information, or seems to good to be true probably is.
Please engage your critical thinking skills. Do not take a person at face value just because they claim to be someone or something. Protect yourself at all costs. Do your homework, do your due diligence. Don't get caught into a web of lies and deceit. Believe me you will thank yourself later for it.
Ever Forward ,
